-
- Q. What is ZCVIEW?
- A. ZCVIEW is a Tic file viewer which allows you to view all of your tic files
- in a single run. It will also shell out and run an external batch file
- if you would like it to. (Explained in more detail later)
-
- Q. Why would I need ZCVIEW?
- A. ZCVIEW makes viewing of TIC files a snap. The authors of ZCVIEW were
- inspired to write this utility to quickly view the TIC files from Planet
- Connect. ZCVIEW reduces the time required to scan TIC file dramatically.
-
- Q. What does it cost to register ZCVIEW?
- A. The only cost to register ZCVIEW is one phone call! You call one of
- two bbs's and generate your own registration code. The program is free
- if you live within the local Seymour, Indiana calling area. Additional
- information on registering follows later.
-
- Q. Why the phone call?
- A. We want to see if our time was wasted in designing ZCVIEW. If there
- is some response to the program then further development and features
- can and will be added. Additionally, we would like to hear from you,
- the end user.
-
- Q. I want to try it first, will it work without being registered?
- A. Yes, all the features work just a beep or two and some delays
- but it will work fully.
-
-
- Q. How do i set it up?
- A. 30 seconds and the built-in configuration program and that's it!

- The external batch file
- ==============================================================================
-
- I use ZCVIEW in a multitasking environment when ZCVIEW fires up and runs it
- shells out to my batch file. My batch file looks for new tic files and runs
- my TIC processor then returns to ZCVIEW. The batch file is called each
- time the program runs or is started. This option works in manual and auto
- mode.
-
- >>>>>>>>>> NOTE_NOTE_NOTE_NOTE_NOTE <<<<<<<<<<
-
- If you do not understand how Batch files work or how to create one leave
- this line blank in the configuration utility.
-
-
- ==============================================================================
- AUTOMATIC MODE
- ==============================================================================
-
- If you run ZCVIEW with no command lines the program is in auto mode. If the
- Batch file line is left blank in the config setup it is ignored. The tic
- files are displayed one at a time depending on the delay you have specified
- in the configuration utility. The program will continue displaying TIC files
- until the F10 key is pressed which will exit the program.
-
- ==============================================================================
- MANUAL MODE
- ==============================================================================
-
- By typing ZCVIEW M (notice the space), ZCVIEW will run in manual mode. The
- batch file if used will still run on each new start up, if this line is left
- blank in the configuration file it is ignored. In manual mode, each tic file
- and is left on the screen until you press a key. You can exit the program at
- any time by pressing F10 anytime or N after all the tic files have been
- displayed.
